(January 15, 2002) - Rauline Ochs and BEA had more good news to celebrate this week. BEA's senior vice president of worldwide strategic alliances was able to congratulate herself and her colleagues on the fact that BEA WebLogic Server has become the first third-party application server ever supported by Art Technology Group, Inc. (ATG), the Boston-based provider of what the company calls "people-facing, frontline Web applications." This means that ATG's online CRM applications can now be run on the BEA e-business infrastructure of which WebLogic Server is the core. SugarCRM Marks First Anniversary

SugarCRM Inc. celebrates the one-year anniversary of the launch of its open source customer relationship management (CRM) application with a rapidly expanding community of users that now includes over 300,000 free downloads and 250 paying customers for its professional edition. There are also 575 open source developers contributing new code and enhancements to the system, and nearly 9,500 participants active in multiple forums sponsored by the company.
